On August 30th 2016, in Gaeta (Latina, Italy), from 19:30, at the Terrazza Borbonica in via Bausan 1 (better known as Punta dello Stendardo) “A Corpo Libero”, a tribute for Goliarda Sapienza will take place.
The performance “Re-vault” closes the tribute at 21:00.

Immersed in a nocturnal vault approaching the new moon, a performance for Goliarda starts off. It happens from Gaeta sea, inhabited by Sirens, and so beloved by her.
« What I have thought for you and I will discover on the shore is not a lifeless bust of Sea and Sky. This textile bust/pillow is meant to attract the traces of your memories, fleeting for the most but well evident to the heart of many. It perfumes of liberty and joy and I have named it “Re-vault”, aka Arcana XVI. Once filled with our affinities, with veils/waves along with consonant tunes, it will become a soft pillow to cuddle the revived memories of you. A sort of calisthenics for the soul will take place on August 30th, 2016, exactly twenty years after your departure from this physical world. Forever in our heARTs ».

“Ogni volta è la prima volta” by Marsilio & London Biennale

Category : exhibitions, performance, around the world · No Comments · by May 9th, 2016

On May 13th, from 15:30 at Salone del Libro di Torino, Padiglione 1, Spazio Incontri to be precise, the book “Ogni volta è la prima volta” by Marsilio editore will be presented. The book contains the 21 finalist stories of the AVIS contest held at Pordenonelegge 2015.
“La prima volta a Roma” of mine is among them.
I had practiced and re-invented that story alive at the opening of London Biennale in Rome (May 1-2-3) at Studio.ra and Studio RO.MI with the main performance “hell-HEAL-hill” that followed a inter-action with Reynolds’ “Chemo Dragon Emergency Room”: I had drawn a Siren on her breast and chest. I had donated to Raffaella Losapio a platinum disc with the apple of OB-LA-DI, OB-LA-DA. The international meeting along the idea of David Medalla and his coordinator Adam Nankervis was wonderful, for the freedom that allows to all sort of personal ways of art/creativity.

In the first days of May I will take part in London Biennale opening in Rome, with a disc, a performance and a video.
On May 1st, from 17:00, at Studio.ra in via Platino 1 F, I will donate to Raffaella Losapio 1 of the 4 revisitated copies of the original vinyl recorded in Rome in ’68, for the 10th anniversary of her gallery; then I will participate in Reynolds’ performance “Emergency Room” by drawing a Chemo Dragon Chimera on her breast.
On May 2nd, from 17:00 at Valle della Caffarella, the main performance “hell-HEAL-hill” will take place: I will go back to my first time in Rome, in January ’68, so to make a synchronisation/syncopation in theme with this year’s LB of David Medalla.
On May 3rd, from 18:00 at Studio RO.MI in via Vetulonia, 55, the video “for Letizia Comba (1932-2000)” who was on the train with me in ’68, will be shown among the selection.
A series of ATCards with full detail of each day has been made and will be given out to LB participants and to the audience.

The (true) story “La prima volta a Roma” is finalist at the AVIS contest. It will be published with the other selected, in the book “La prima volta” by Marsilio Editori. The first three will be announced in an event in Mantova, next May. Incidentally, I have been in Rome recently and there old memories of that journey in ’68 with Letizia Comba arose. They will be expressed on May 1st in a performance at London Biennale opening coinciding with the 10th anniversary of Studio.ra.

The first vinyl and the first travel to Rome

Category : exhibitions, performance, around the world · No Comments · by Nov 9th, 2015

My contributions “the first travel to Rome” (text) and “the first vinyl” (photo) take part in “La prima volta” of AVIS. It is a contest to make the people aware of the importance of the deed of gift of blood/life. My text and photo points up and investigate the not-so-ephemeral effects of love donations.

From my (life) travel notes:

– Videos of my performance “Danse du Tarots en F” in Paris had new links, after the participation in Magmart video festival. You can now find them at https://youtu.be/8qOFcx4uorw and https://youtu.be/AY1yzJ602UY
– The new project/exhibition “microstorie di cibo” of ArtCafè in Milan hosts my contribution “Fiabe da gustare” at http://microbonet-artcafe.blogspot.it/2015/06/laura-cristin.html

Tarots: con-sonant and (in)finite project

Just the perfect day to let you know something about the Tarots project that is keeping not-only-me busy, from long. On Mardi gras, approaching the turning into the Chinese New Year of the Goat, “Tarots” is published in the “Works” section of this website. A more extensive pdf to download (Intermezzo) goes with it. The journey into this ever surprising/involving theme – treated in a peculiar/subjective way – has come to a crucial point so far. After the silver path, the golden one appears, still ongoing, con-sonant and (in)finite.

In Memory 2008-2015 at Art Cafè

Category : exhibitions, performance · No Comments · by Jan 27th, 2015

On January 27th 2008, together with Amadea Fayne, mezzo soprano from Berlin and the pianist/composer Dario Della Rossa from Cosenza, I had the opportunity to think/act for the Day of Memory in the old sinagogue of S. Daniele del Friuli. The following day, we all went to Venice for a free/impromptu performance along the gondolas… Kol Nidre and AniMa amin were sung, proper music for the holocaust was played and a Sheren performance (according to my art identity) took place. Life and death are intimately connected: in 2008 we also had in mind/heART the 250th anniversary from Mozart’s birth and other facts. Last July, on 14th, I had the chance to perform “Tarots in Paris” at Père Lachaise, and at a certain point I could almost “feel” the spirit of Raymond Roussel whose tomb I had chosen for a dance prayer. After the 7th janvier 2015, even George Wolinski will rest forever there.

I do not know what art can do, but remembering the little we/I could do makes me feel better.
